The Vegan Kind: September (TVK35)

Where has the summer gone?!

I cannot believe it’s September already, and as Autumn starts creeping in and the daylight is slowly beginning to dwindle, I am taking great comfort in this month’s TVK box!

As always, the team at TVK use 10p from every box sold to go towards charities that help animals. This month, they sponsored Ty-Nant cat sanctuary, which is a not for profit organisation operating in Wales.

Not only are they super generous, the team are also amazing at picking out goodies to send to us every month! TVK35 contains:

  • Terra Vegane Classic Cheddar Style Mac and Cheez

A super simple vegan alternative to a great classic, which only requires a couple of basic ingredients to prepare. I had mine with some bacon-maple tempeh and it tasted amazing, and is much more guilt free than tradition mac and cheese!

  • PROPERCORN Smooth Peanut and Almond Popcorn

I’ve been a big fan of propercorn popcorn for a good while now, so was very excited to try this flavour, as I am a self proclaimed peanut butter addict. This stuff is amazing, by far the best popcorn I have ever had, as it feels like a treat but is actually pretty healthy and only contains 120 calories per bag!

  • Moo Free Chocolate Caramelised Hazelnut Nibs Bar

Moo Free is another favourite of mine, as it is one of the only vegan chocolates stocked at my local supermarket, but the caramelised hazelnut was one I had yet to try, but now I am going have to buy it all the time (thanks for making me fat TVK!). It’s smooth and creamy like a normal milk chocolate but has lovely crunchy hazelnut on top, which adds to its rich flavour.

  • Almighty Foods Golden Blonde Raw Chocolate Bar

I don’t know how the clever people at Almighty Foods managed this one, as it has the sweet creamy taste and texture of white chocolate, but it made and processed at low temperatures meaning that the organic ingredients, such as cacao and cashew, do not lose any of their goodness.

  • Good Hemp Milk

Hemp milk is a great plant milk option, as it is versatile and refreshing. I use mine on cereal and in tea, but it literally has any of the uses that normal milk has, you just don’t have to harm any cows to enjoy it!

  • The Vegan Kind ‘Not a Baby Cow’ mug

You can never have to many mugs, and this one is definitely a new favourite in my collection! TVK have released their own line of vegan mugs, meaning hot drink lovers like me can promote a good cause while also sipping on a matcha green tea.

If you still haven’t given TVK a go, do it! It’s so nice to know that you have a little surprise coming every month, and it is a great way to find out about great vegan products that you might otherwise miss.
